The New World of Rehab: Addressing Burnout

Course Description: This 1 hour live online course defines the common causes of burnout amongst rehab clinicians as seen in evidenced based research. Additionally, the signs of burnout are identified to assist clinicians in recognizing burnout. Finally, psychological research is offered to prevent the potentially damaging effects of burnout amongst rehab clinicians.

Course Objectives: At the conclusion of the course, participants will demonstrate competency in the following objectives:

- Identify the causes of rehab burnout

- Recognize the signs of rehab burnout

- Apply strategies to reduce rehab burnout

8:15-8:30:  Causes of Burnout

8:30-8:35: Other Causes of Rehab Burnout

8:35-8:45: Signs of Rehab Burnout

8:45-9:       Preventing Rehab Burnout

Competency Demonstration:  In order to receive continuing education credit, each participant must achieve 70% in a 10-question quiz provided via Flexiquiz after the course. If the student fails to achieve 70 points throughout the course, they will be asked to complete additional assignments until remediation is achieved. Once the student achieves this score and completes the course evaluation, they will be e-mailed an official course certificate.
