Join us for this live webinar to explore a primary care model for physical therapists which boosts access to care, optimizes efficiency & healthcare team collaboration, and improves patient satisfaction & outcomes. Participants will be provided with an example of an evidence-informed baseline well visit for adults. Several cases examples will be reviewed so that participants understan how patients are managed within this care model.

Instructor:

Dr. Katie O'Bright is a physical therapist and educator who has spent the majority of her career in multidisciplinary primary care settings. She started her career as an active duty Army PT where she worked in a Solider Centered Medical Home, co-located with primary care physicians, psychologists and other valued support staff. Since then, she has worked in multidisciplinary care settings in academic health systems and private practices. Dr. O'Bright founded Redefine Health Education with the mission of getting more physical therapists into team-based care settings, starting with primary care. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and two sons.

Objectives:

1. Understand the concept of a primary physical health model of care

2. Understand the physical therapist's role and scope of practice within this model

3. Understand what constitutes an evidence-informed baseline well visit for adults

4. Understand how patients are managed within this model; obtain a basic understanding of payment models

Competency:

In order to demonstrate competency and earn a CE certificate, participants will need to answer at least 4/5 questions correctly in a post-course online quiz.
